My story is pretty common, but it is one of those things where you really fall for someone but you realize it just won't ever be. I met him through a friend, I thought it was a little odd that he wouldn't put his smartphone down at her Superbowl party. He seemed like he didn't really want to be there. But I could tell that he was smart, and successful, and had very kind eyes and the warmest smile you could imagine. But it was very hard to get dates with him, and even when we did he just wouldn't leave the office behind. He had an important job, but that was seemingly all he cared about. It just didn't work out because of that, or maybe I just wasn't his type. But hearing from my friend, that was pretty standard for him. He just wouldn't ever stop working to enjoy life or meet people.
